The systems used at Linuxfx Technologies are Debian, these include Debian Lenny on a laptop and a Debian Lenny server, however, these scripts will work on all Linux systems irrespective of the flavour. Do not think the information here is outmoded or historical, all information and testing are done on up to date computers and the concepts here are as relevent today as when Unix programming came into being on the first programmable computers. As an added extra, we have Debian information for configuring a fresh install.
